ATLANTA - July 16

Forest Therapy Walk at Woodland Garden

Meet in the lower parking area beside the Woodlands Garden office. I'll be wearing the Hope Matters t-shirt.

One of our Soaring Spirits Atlanta members hosts Forest Therapy walks and has offered to do one for our group at a nice discount, 40% off. Not sure what forest therapy is? In short, it is a guided walk with invitations to use the senses to be mindfully immersed in a natural setting and becoming beneficiaries of the "medicine of the forest." The practice is based on the Japanese practice of shinrin yoku - literally "forest bathing." Robin is the guide; the forest is the therapist. Here's more information.

Please dress appropriately for the weather with comfortable shoes since we will be outside the entire time. Also bring plenty of water! It is better to over-estimate how much you will need instead of running out. You are welcome to bring a snack as well. The restrooms will probably not be open so plan ahead.

Woodlands Garden is located at 932 Scott Blvd., Decatur, GA 30030 and is on the northeast corner of the Scott Blvd / Clairemont Avenue Intersection.  Parking is limited so, if possible, please park at 915 Clairemont Avenue, Decatur, GA 30030.  This property is owned by Woodlands Garden and is the first driveway north of Scott Blvd.  After parking, please proceed to the lower parking area on the other side of the Woodlands Garden office.
