Soaring Spirits provides widowed people with the chance to meet socially, and to create a local community of widowed friends through our Regional Social Group program. Groups are led by our awesome volunteer facilitators who plan meetings twice a month in their geographical area.
Our meetings are focused on assisting widowed men and women in rebuilding their social structure post-loss. We don’t provide any presented content, and all of our meetings are held in easily accessible public locations. Our aim is to assist widowed people in getting back out into the world, with a group of understanding friends by their sides!
The locations of our regional groups are determined by the availability of a volunteer willing to head the program in any given area. To determine if there is a Soaring Spirits Regional Social Group meeting near you, just enter your zip or postal code below. Interested in joining our Regional Social Leader team? The parade starts at 10 a.m. at First and D Street and ends at H Street. The parade features local marching bands, dancers, and the much-anticipated Santa Claus. The Holiday Market features handcrafted arts & crafts, gourmet items and delicious foods.

Join us for lunch & a walk around the Holiday display in the Conservatory
We love visiting the Bellagio Conservatory each season. Their Holiday Glamour display will only be up December 2-January 6, so we've added a visit in December.
We'll have lunch at Cafe Bellagio and then take a walk around the conservatory.
Meet at the entrance to the Cafe at 11:30am. Please RSVP so we know what size table to request.
We're here on the 3rd Saturday of each month. Meet at the coffee house at 9am for a 9:10am departure for a walk in Sunset Park. Followed by coffee and conversation back at Sunrise Coffee where organic food, other drinks and snacks are also available. Meet us for just the walk or just coffee or both. Come anytime between 9am-12pm and someone will be at the coffee house. Hope to see you!
